- You get
- .txt, one per conversation
- Rough size
- A few hundred KB per conversation, without media
Everything Buho reads out of it lands in Messages.
WhatsApp has no bulk export and no web form: conversations are exported one at a time, from the phone app.
- Open a conversation, tap the contact or group name at the top.
- Scroll down to Export chat, then choose Without media.
- Send the
.txtto yourself — mail, AirDrop, whatever reaches your computer. - Repeat for the conversations you care about.

You can drop all the exported chats at once — no need to add them one by one.
No bulk export exists: conversations leave the phone one by one. You can drop all of them at once, though. Dates are in the phone's locale, so day/month order is worked out per file.

The .zip as it arrived, the unzipped folder, or loose files.
Buho works out which export it is, so you never have to say — and reads
it here, in this tab, without uploading any of it.
